Since the beginning of June The Tankerville Café & Bar, is officially open.
A Challenging Project
It has been a challenging project, but we have met the challenges head on. For example, just before we opened, we learned that there was to be a delay in signing off the kitchen’s gas appliances, so we would not be able to use them for the first two weeks. In just three days we begged, bought, and borrowed electrical appliances, and for two weeks Tammy the pub manager has produced fantastic food in a makeshift kitchen.
But at last our kitchen is fully certified, and we have never been happier to use that cliché, “Now we’re really cooking with gas!”
We send a big thank you to all those people who have helped us through refurbishment, to re-opening, ready to serve customers.
June Opening Times For The Tankerville
These are the opening times for the Tankerville in June:
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings for drinks and food from 17:00-22:00.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning for breakfasts from 09:00-12:00.

Responding To Local Requests
When we surveyed local residents last year, people said that they wanted a café as much as a traditional pub. In response, we have developed a venue that can act as Longden’s local in the evenings as well as being a great place to meet for a coffee and a cake during the day. We want to bemopen for more days and longer hours, but we can only do so as we build our business, and that’s where you can make all the difference.
